Truss Assembler

Millard Lumber Inc is seeking a skilled Truss Assembler to join our production team. As a key member of our assembly line, you will be responsible for assembling wall and truss components with precision and attention to detail.

• Assembly Line Operations: Assemble building parts on a production table or automated line for Truss and Walls
• Quality Control: Ensure assembled components meet established quality standards
• Material Handling: Lift and handle dimensional lumber of varying sizes and lengths, load/stack finished materials on carts and/or pallets
• Teamwork: Rotate through all tasks required in a particular production process, work as an individual and as a team to meet production goals

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Previous experience in construction, framing, truss assembly desirable with a variety of hand (hammer) and power tools (nail gun/saw)
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, basic math and measurement skills, ability to comprehend and follow instructions

• Work Environment: Warehouse setting, production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust
• Physical Demands: Repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, reaching at or above shoulder level and below waist, safely squat, bend, climb, lift/carry up to 64 lbs., push/pull up to 60 lbs., grasp, talk, hear, standing/walk for prolonged periods
