Food Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Scientist to join our team at The Judge Group. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for applying scientific principles to develop new food products and improve existing ones.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct bench-top product development of nutritional food supplements, from concept to completion of manufacturing process.
- Develop custom formulas per customer specification, ensuring high-quality and safe products.
- Research and develop nutrition and product parameters for unique applications in new marketplaces.
- Evaluate raw materials for functionality and product quality, following the vendor approval process.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers on formula development, scale-up, and commercialization.
- Compile new product cost analysis to support product pricing, customer RFPs, and quotes.
- Contribute innovative product and concept ideas through independent research and industry trend analysis.
- Provide evaluation and recommendations for product improvements, addressing flavor, texture, nutritional value, convenience, composition, and cost.
- Recommend specific ingredients, processes, and packaging materials, and provide technical support to the current customer base.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of one to four years of food industry/product development experience or relevant science equivalent.
