Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Directional Drill Crew Supervisor to join our team at Southeast Connections, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our directional drill crew, ensuring compliance with installation and safety standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the directional drill crew, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Manage and maintain equipment, including directional drills, locators, trucks, excavators, forklifts, and dump trucks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with installation standards and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as an equipment and directional drill operator or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of utility installation techniques and standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum two years of utility construction experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years operating a directional drill (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch).
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
