Key Responsibilities- Assist senior engineers in developing and implementing new designs and design improvements.
- Execute and document subsystem and component validation test plans.
- Evaluate power circuit protection and coordination.
- Participate in FMEA, risk assessment, and root cause analysis activities.
- Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers, manufacturing, and services teams.
- Test and qualify components for production, and resolve issues as needed to maintain product quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related discipline.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution, power electronics, or control system design.
- Desired characteristics include a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
- Related electrical engineering experience through COOP or University classwork.
- Familiarity with power electronics and control systems.
- Familiarity with wind turbine or photovoltaic system technologies.
- Familiarity with instrumentation and measurement of power converters.
- Familiarity with Arc Flash analysis (EasyPower or SKM) and testing.
GE Vernova offers a competitive salary range of $69,600 - $104,400 USD Annual, as well as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
