About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender/Server to join our team at Big Tyme Billiards & Bar. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, present beverage options, and connect with guests to enhance their visit.
  • Order Taking and Preparation: Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes.
  • Cash Handling and Transactions: Process transactions using the POS system, balance the cash register at the start of each shift, and ensure accurate itemization of bills.
  • Bar Maintenance: Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment, and working areas, and comply with all TABC and company health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies.
  • Sales and Upselling: Utilize a silent service approach, maintain a clean environment, and exhibit selling techniques with proper knowledge and service delivery of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as pool tables and food items.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a bartender in a bar/nightclub setting.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Active Food Manager Certificate and TABC license.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, beer, and bar equipment, as well as basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 30 lbs, walk, stand, and carry heavy trays.
What We Offer
  • Compensation: $35.00 per hour.
  • Benefits: Bonus after 90 days, pay increase after 90 days, flexible schedule, and employee discounts.
