Functional Requirements:
- Measure distances from designated markers.
- Drive stakes into the ground.
- Maintain taut lines.
- Sort lumber for reuse.
- Level earth accurately for pipe laying and preparing subgrades.
- Guide laborers during concrete pouring into forms.
- Set up shoring, braces, and paint pipe joints.
- Assist in the installation of pumps and well-points.
- Coordinate with operators to align and maneuver heavy construction equipment.
- Direct truck drivers and scraper operators to ensure grade maintenance.
- Participate in concrete paving teams to adjust concrete grades.
- Occasionally operate small power tools.
- Lead labor crews when necessary.
- Exhibit independent judgment in planning routine tasks.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualification Standards:
- Prior experience in industrial, construction, or general labor roles.
- Successfully pass drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation post-offer.
- Complete the New Hire Orientation Quiz.
- Must not present a direct threat to health or safety.
- Comply with job site safety regulations (e.g., clean-shaven, steel-toed boots).
- Utilize safety equipment as mandated (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, gloves).
Physical Requirements:
- Adhere to the company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Pass physical examinations as required.
- Climb and maintain balance on various structures.
- Perform tasks at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of tools/materials; seek assistance for heavier items.
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Work on uneven surfaces for prolonged durations.
- Maintain a clean-shaven appearance and wear required safety gear.
Work Environment:
- Location: Industrial construction sites and/or fabrication facilities.
- Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: Uneven ground, obstructed pathways, work at varying elevations, confined spaces.
- Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: Primarily outdoor settings, exposure to varying weather conditions, humidity, noise levels, and potential chemical exposure.
