Position Overview:
This role within the Nursing Department involves delivering patient care with the expertise of a Registered Nurse. The successful candidate will demonstrate the clinical capability to function as the Primary RN on the assigned Unit. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care delivery, completing necessary documentation, and engaging in patient and family education and discharge planning, all while effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- BCLS certification required upon hire (ACLS must be obtained subsequently)
- ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire
- PALS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire (not applicable for RN Travelers)
- Moderate Sedation training required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
- EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke certification required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License required upon hire
