POSITION: Housekeeping Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Rooms

REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeping Manager

SALARY: $14-$15 per hour based on experience; potential for additional earnings

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Attendant at Little America Hotel is to ensure that assigned guest rooms are prepared for occupancy in accordance with the hotel's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remove used linens from beds and replace them with fresh ones, ensuring that laundry bags do not exceed 45 pounds.
  • Utilizing appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment (broom, mop, toilet brush, etc.), thoroughly clean bathrooms, including sinks, mirrors, floors, toilets, and tubs.
  • Collect used towels and bath mats for laundering.
  • Vacuum floors in guest rooms and hallways.
  • Dust and clean furniture, lamps, and fixtures, and polish wooden surfaces of TVs, tables, and headboards.
  • Restock guest rooms with amenities and supplies (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.) from the housekeeping cart.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as necessary.
  • Transport trash and linen bags from the room.
  • Prepare housekeeping carts with linens, towels, amenities, and other necessary items for the next guest.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to safely ascend and descend ladders and scaffolding, maintaining balance in elevated positions.
  • Capability to move to floor level and navigate various spaces.
  • Ability to extend arms in all directions.
  • Capacity to maintain an upright position for extended periods.
  • Ability to exert force to push, pull, or lift objects as needed.
  • Capability to raise and move substantial objects from lower to higher positions or horizontally.
  • Ability to detect certain substances through the sense of smell.
Qualifications:
  • Availability to work at least one weekend day each week.
