Alvarez & Marsal is a leading global professional services firm, specializing in turnaround management, performance improvement, and corporate advisory services. We are seeking a Private Equity Performance Improvement Manager to join our Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) - Software Product and Tech Diligence team.
As a Private Equity Performance Improvement Manager, you will work closely with organizations and stakeholders to help tackle complex business issues and maximize value. You will be responsible for conducting software product and technology due diligence assessments on target organizations for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct software product and technology assessments focused on key areas such as product features, technology architecture, R&D organization, and processes.
- Develop and manage data request lists to identify key data, artifacts, and documentation required from the target for the assessment.
- Conduct detailed analysis of the target across all areas of assessment, focusing on quantitative and qualitative data gathering, organizing, and analysis.
- Summarize key insights into client-ready exhibits, pages, and sections of interim and final deliverables.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables and effectively manage day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
- 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of five years consulting to the tech industry or specializing in software/tech-enabled services product management or software development.
- Desired - experience working for or with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or related transaction/product and tech due diligence experience.
- Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written, including proven ability to directly develop and deliver executive-level, client-ready written communication materials.
- Demonstrated track record working with business leaders (directors and above) as well as private equity deal staff.
- Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including quantitative and qualitative analysis.
