Job DescriptionThis role requires working alongside our Registered Nurse (RN) to provide the highest level of care to inmates/detainees. Key responsibilities include developing nursing care plans with guidance from the RN, performing complete physical assessments, providing nursing care within capacity, and referring other medical problems to the appropriate physician.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the RN to develop comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Perform thorough physical assessments and medical history evaluations.
- Provide quality nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Refer complex medical issues to the relevant physician.
- Administer medications safely and securely.
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to management.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Current unrestricted LPN license in the state where the facility is located.
- Two years of direct work experience preferred.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and provide follow-up treatment.
- Familiarity with computer software typically used by the department.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
