Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry Instructor to join our team at Red Rocks Community College. As a Carpentry Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Carpentry program, providing a high-quality learning experience that prepares them for successful careers in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Carpentry courses to students, including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and industry partners
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to improve student outcomes
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Carpentry education
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Carpentry or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Carpentry, including teaching or training experience
  • Strong knowledge of Carpentry principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Carpentry or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Knowledge of industry certifications and standards
  • Experience with online learning platforms and tools
