Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, to help diagnose and treat patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, to help diagnose and treat patients.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe imaging.
  • Develop and process radiographic images, including X-rays and CT scans.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Registered in radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Experience with imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans.
  • Registration in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Working Conditions

This position requires standing and walking for long periods, as well as lifting and moving patients and equipment. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
