About the OpportunityWe are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate physician who can provide exceptional patient care and contribute to our mission of improving healthcare outcomes. As a Primary Care Physician with Optum, you will have the autonomy to work independently while having access to the resources and support of a global organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family medicine and experience in outpatient settings. They should be able to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Additionally, they should possess strong organizational skills, be able to multitask, and adapt to changing situations.
The salary for this position is approximately $250,000 per year, based on national averages for primary care physicians in Arizona. However, salaries may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and performance.
Responsibilities- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses
- Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns
- Document patient information, including medical history, examination results, and treatment plans
- Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures as necessary
- Order laboratory and imaging tests to determine and manage treatment plans
- Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services as needed
- Active and unrestricted Arizona medical license
- Board certification in Family Medicine
- Current and unrestricted DEA certificate
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- 1+ years of outpatient clinic experience
- Managed care or IPA/health plan experience
