Department Overview
The Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CVIMC) is a 35-bed unit that provides high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions. Our team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals work together to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.
- We care for patients who are recovering from open-heart surgery, as well as those who require monitoring and treatment for cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.
- Our patients may include those who have undergone cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertions, and ICD implantations.
- We also provide care for patients with arterial and venous sheath care, monitoring, and removal.
- Our team is dedicated to providing individualized care to each patient, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
- Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
- Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
