Position Overview

The Wire Operations Associate I is integral to Cadence Bank's Wire Operations team, demonstrating extensive expertise in wire transaction processes while offering support to clients, bank personnel, and the Wire Operations Supervisor. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in navigating diverse systems and protocols efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently manage all incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
  • Address phone inquiries directed to the Wire Operations team, assisting both internal staff and external clients.
  • Daily processing of wire returns, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Assist internal colleagues and clients with wire-related questions via email and phone, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle trace requests from clients and internal teams, documenting and tracking wire transactions as necessary.
  • Create and update customer profiles for new and existing wire clients, ensuring all information is precise and current.
  • Process Netrax documentation and assist with wire research inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Support the management of drawdowns and provide reporting on transactional activities as needed.
  • Utilize Payplus Wire processing knowledge to fulfill late shift requirements when necessary.
  • Remain informed about and comply with Federal Reserve Rules and Regulations, upholding banking standards and protocols.
Qualifications
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and other departments, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel and Google Suite, with the capability to navigate banking systems effectively.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of fundamental wire processing concepts, including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes and a commitment to detail-oriented work.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Bank systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Dedication to ongoing self-education and improvement to enhance job performance.
  • Adherence to the policies and procedures established by Cadence Bank.
  • Up to 2 years of prior banking experience, preferably in wire processing or a related area.
