Job Title: Driver- CDL

At Republic Services, we are committed to creating a more sustainable world. As a Driver- CDL, you will play a critical role in our mission by safely operating a collection truck and providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Safely operate the truck along designated routes and to the disposal site.
  • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
  • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures.
  • Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste and clean up any spills.
  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other reports as needed.
Requirements:
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and safety standards.
