Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Oncology Unit at Duke Raleigh Hospital. As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. You will work collaboratively with other departments and disciplines to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
- Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and act as a team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelors Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required
- All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date
- Nurses hired at Duke Health with a valid compact license are required to obtain their North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of their start date
