Critical Care Transport Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Transport Nurse to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality out-of-hospital nursing care, including assessment, triage, and treatment, utilizing established standards and guidelines.
- Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize care for safe transport of critical patients to the appropriate facility.
- Maintain validated competency to provide care for patients across the lifespan.
- Carry out the mission and goals of the Hackensack EMS SCTU program, ensuring safety remains the highest priority.
As a Special Care Transport Nurse, your day may include:
- Providing nursing care from initial patient contact until patient care is endorsed to the accepting medical facility.
- Practicing nursing within your scope of practice as defined by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Maintaining knowledge and competency in psychomotor skills through ongoing didactic, simulated, and clinical experiences.
- Knowledgeable in the use and routine care of all equipment and supplies used by the SCTU.
- Responsible for reporting medical equipment failures and taking initial steps to sequester broken equipment for investigation.
- Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
