Job Summary

United Rotary Brush Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team on the 1st shift. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties to ensure the functionality of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures to ensure they are functional and up to code.
  • Determine the reasons for malfunctions and create a maintenance repair plan to solve the problem.
  • Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and equipment.
  • Test systems using devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
  • Review blueprints for the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of equipment.
  • Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components.
  • Keep a record of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
  • Ensure routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger issues.
  • Interpret and apply technical codes.
  • Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting of equipment issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3-5 consecutive years of full-time industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of plastics processing equipment, including extruders, pullers, cutters, and chillers.
  • Electrical knowledge, including high voltage, fuses, VFD, relays, and switches.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic presses and systems.
  • Able to read mechanical drawings and have knowledge of CAD.
