Arcosa Marine is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Specialist to join our team in Ashland City, TN. As a key member of our safety and health team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor work practices and safety equipment to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the production area to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Act as the plant Safety Representative, detecting and reporting any issues that may impact employee safety and well-being.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer first aid to employees as needed.
  • Audit plant shop areas and work with the Safety Manager to implement actions to correct hazardous situations and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company regulations.
  • Ensure continued adherence to safety rules and procedures.
  • Support investigations into employee complaints about unsafe working conditions.
  • Audit and maintain safety records.
  • Prepare reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to workplace safety or security emergencies and issues.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of related experience.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and ability to maintain accurate, organized records.
  • Ability to operate commonly used office equipment, including personal computers and Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to follow directions and interact effectively with plant personnel.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
