Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced OB Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in the operating room and labor and delivery units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring accurate instrument counts.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and labor and delivery units, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in emergency situations, exercising calm behavior and utilizing appropriate judgment to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to provide direct and indirect care to patients, including assisting with procedures and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of prior OB Tech or Surgical Tech experience in the acute care setting required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
