Overview

US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities is seeking an experienced Full-Time Nurse Clinician to join our team in Colorado Springs. As a leading provider of cancer care, we offer a comprehensive range of services and a supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care with internal and external entities
  • Triage patient calls regarding treatment and symptom management
  • Oversee patient compliance and adherence to oral chemotherapy regimens
  • Assist in patient education and follow-up after initial chemotherapy regimens
  • Assist physicians with IKM chemotherapy regimens
  • Manage electronic and call-in prescriptions and management of narcotic and chemotherapy refill requests
  • Assist with calling patients lab results and scan as needed
  • Assist the MA staff with disability and FMLA paperwork
  • Act as a liaison between physician and outside resources
  • Act as a liaison between the infusion suite and the physicians/mid-level providers
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education
  • Minimum two years nursing experience required
  • Nurses with OCN certification are eligible for OCN Incentive Pay after 90 days of employment or upon obtainment of certification

Physical demands of this job typically require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination in operation and manipulation of complex laboratory equipment. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time with the use hands to finger, handle, or feel and arms to reach or carry. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision, color perception, and hearing to normal range. Requires legible handwriting.

Requirements
  • Candidates will be required to show proof of being vaccinated against influenza upon commencing employment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law.
