As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive process improvements and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Strategies: Design and execute plans to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction through the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and solve quality and process-related issues, ensuring seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
- Utilize Quality Improvement Tools: Leverage Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement tools to drive process improvements, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Conduct Audits and Assessments: Regularly conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, maintaining a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Train and Mentor Employees: Provide training and mentorship to employees on continuous improvement methodologies and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Monitor and Report KPIs: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and continuous improvement, ensuring data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality management and continuous improvement, applying knowledge to drive innovation and excellence.
- Manage Direct Reports: Lead and develop direct reports to create best-in-class policies and procedures for quality, ensuring a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Initiate and Provide Feedback on R&D: Drive innovation by initiating and providing feedback on R&D for new products and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Enforce Safety Policies: Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Interpret Company Policy: Effectively communicate company policy to employees, ensuring understanding and adherence.
- Establish or Adjust Work Procedures: Develop and implement work procedures to meet production schedules, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Initiate/Perform Job Performance Reviews: Conduct regular job performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to employees.
- Perform Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or continuous improvement roles.
- Certification: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant quality improvement methodologies.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, proficiency in quality management software and tools, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they affect plant operations.
