We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at INTEGRIS Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Primary Caregiver: Act as a primary caregiver to assigned patients, assisting with daily living skills as needed and providing individualized attention to help patients attain treatment goals.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information for assigned patients, ensuring timely and thorough record-keeping.
- Intervention and Support: Utilize accepted intervention techniques under the direction of the RN, Nurse Supervisors, Nurse Manager, or Director Nursing to address problematic patient behaviors.
- Patient Rounds and Transportation: Make patient rounds as prescribed by unit policy and/or patient needs, and assist with patient admission/discharge and transportation as required.
- Van Operations: Ride/Drive van when assigned, monitoring patient behavior to ensure physical and emotional safety.
- Experience: 1 year of previous experience in a mental health treatment setting or completion of a mental health worker certification program (Vocational-Technical) preferred.
- Age and Communication: Must be 21 years of age or older and able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
