We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to inform patient care decisions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent required.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 1 month of hire date.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program preferred.
