Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while operating imaging equipment and following established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce timely and quality diagnostic images using appropriate equipment and protocols
  • Practice proper patient handling to ensure patient safety
  • Document patient clinical history, physician orders, and procedure logs
  • Ensure correct and timely entry of procedures, supply charges, and exam completions
  • Assist radiologists in performing special procedure examinations
  • Maintain imaging equipment in optimal order
  • Assemble and present exam documents and images for radiologists
  • Participate in educational programs, inservices, and department meetings
  • Participate in training and orientation of new employees and students
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent or hospital-based certification and one year of experience working as a technologist
  • ARRT and TDH certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology, Neuro, or Special Procedures highly preferred
