Your Role:

This position involves collaborating within a dynamic environment that employs SAFe agile methodologies to develop and deliver tools and applications that facilitate operational data discovery, analytics, and visualization.
The ISSO will play a crucial role in leading extensive data analysis initiatives, designing, and implementing both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
As the principal advisor to the Information System Owner, Business Process Owner, and Chief Information Security Officer, you will oversee all aspects of information system security, ensuring the implementation and upkeep of necessary security controls.

  • Oversee technical information assurance engineering tasks, including network/server scanning, patch management, and compliance verification of targeted network assets.
  • Possess a strong understanding of approved commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) security tools and government compliance standards, including FISMA, DIACAP, and NIST-800 series.
  • Evaluate products to fulfill client requirements and present findings effectively. Serve as a tier two support engineer during system performance evaluations.
  • Provide tier two support and troubleshoot security-related issues arising from system lockdowns, with responsibilities for both local and remote network administration.
  • Act as the primary advisor on all technical matters related to information system security.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of security controls.
  • Establish and enforce necessary procedures to safeguard information system assets from unauthorized modifications, disclosures, or destruction.
  • Guide other functional units on the physical protection of information systems.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding data security effectiveness and recommend new procedures as needed.
  • Assist in the development and navigation of the Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation documentation process.
  • Conduct self-assessments of network security.

Develop and revise documentation that constitutes the Authority to Operate (ATO) package, including the System Security Plan and Incident Response Plan.

Create Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) based on vulnerability assessments and maintain records accordingly.

Qualifications:


• Active Top-Secret clearance

• Minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in security engineering, system security auditing, or penetration testing. Relevant certifications (at least one is preferred): MCSA/Unix/Linux, CCNA, CompTIA-Network +, CompTIA-Security +, CISSP.

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Security, Engineering, or a related technical field.
