We are currently seeking a Medical Technologist for a local contract position. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate laboratory testing and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct precise and timely laboratory analyses by evaluating proficiency testing samples in accordance with established protocols.
- Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to patient test results.
- Execute urgent procedures within specified turnaround times.
- Utilize sound judgment and independent thinking to interpret patient results effectively.
- Review pending and result logs, addressing any outstanding tasks or communicating with staff as necessary.
- Implement quality control measures in accordance with established protocols, managing critical laboratory specimens and test outcomes.
- A minimum of a 2 Year/Associate Degree is required.
- A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- Less than 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is acceptable.
- A valid State of Florida Technologist License is required.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is preferred, with a generalist background being highly desirable.
