Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients/patients/residents to develop, maintain and recover their ability to perform daily tasks and activities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to meet their unique needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to help clients/patients/residents achieve their goals.
  • Provide education and training to clients/patients/residents and their families on how to perform daily tasks and activities safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for our clients/patients/residents.
  • Document client/patient/resident information and establish therapeutic plans, modifying them as necessary.
Requirements
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
  • When working at a Sanford Health Facility (not required but preferred for GSS Facilities): Must also be certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
