Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Senior Registered Nurse to join our team at the Idaho Division of Veterans Services. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will supervise nursing staff and ensure standards and quality management are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Function as 24-hour supervisor in a long-term care facility.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary staffing and coordinate nursing service activities with other health-related, therapeutic, and support services.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate staff. Orient staff on institution/unit policies and procedures and schedule nursing staff to ensure 24-hour coverage.
  • Provide professional nursing care, determine and coordinate appropriate consultations, and delegate routine nursing tasks to staff.
  • Enforce standards of nursing practice and recommend unit and institution policies and procedures.
  • Ensure completion of required nursing records. Counsel with relatives regarding residents' health, status, and care provided, and explain risks and benefits of patient treatment regimes.
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
