Job Summary

EMR USA Metal Recycling is seeking a skilled Material Handler Operator to join our team. As a Material Handler Operator, you will be responsible for operating a material handler or excavator to move metal throughout the yard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate material handler and/or grapple crane to move material
  • Complete all required daily equipment reports
  • Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment
  • Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, manage time and multitask
  • Previous experience using a material handler and/or grapple crane a plus
  • High school diploma or GED
Work Environment

The Material Handler Operator will be working in an outdoor environment and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
