Job Summary

We seek an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a background in energy to lead our Engineering activities for major Oil & Gas / Energy projects across the US.

  • This role involves providing technical input into projects at various stages (from feasibility/ preliminary to detailed design), coordinating Engineering design efforts with EPC or external consultants, and managing external engineering firms, subcontractors, and various engineering disciplines.
  • You will also ensure all deliverables meet Project specifications, review/monitor contractors' progress, and monitor the progress relating to key project milestones.
Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Develop opportunities, execute project work, and act as the lead SME technical expert within the group.
  • Direct project team on various assignments, provide technical guidance, and recommend design changes per client's request.
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, or public as needed, responding to project inquiries and serving as liaison between clients and project team members.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge, participating in applicable professional societies and trade associations, achieving team performance objectives, and working closely with other Energy teams within Atwell.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Mechanical, Petroleum, or related field required; Professional License (PE) highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
