We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy functions and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in the computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
  • Communicates with colleagues and patients using strong verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Iowa.
  • Proven ability to drive with an active driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • 6+ months of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
  • Ability to make local deliveries when business needs.
