Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team at Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs. As a key member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organization maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of the Compliance Specialist position, including hiring, training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and continued development.
  • Minimize potential regulatory risk by maintaining Title 31 Compliance, including thorough auditing of daily Title 31 paperwork, accurate and timely submissions of currency transaction (CTR) and suspicious activity (SAR) reports to the IRS and FinCEN, respectively.
  • Develop and enhance the Title 31 Compliance Program, including ongoing evaluation of departmental procedures, training materials, and system capabilities of capturing cash-in and cash-out transactions.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development department to ensure accuracy of assignment requirements and timely completion of required compliance training.
  • Assist with, recommend, and oversee independent audits and audit follow-ups as necessary to minimize risk, eliminate repeat findings, and prepare the property for internal and external audits.
  • Work with property leadership to ensure corrective and preventative action as needed.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are established and maintained in compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes and regulations.
  • Oversee the self-exclusion/disassociated persons program and account maintenance to ensure compliance with jurisdictional rules, thereby reducing the risk of potentially significant fines.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with gaming regulators within the jurisdiction where the property operates.
Requirements
  • Three years' experience in the financial services or casino industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to write detailed reports.
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, attention to detail, prioritizing, and managing time, multiple tasks, and varying priorities to meet critical deadlines.
