Job Summary

Pike is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Grounding Assembly Tester to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our electrical grounding assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct annual inspections and testing of grounding assemblies on company overhead, underground, and transmission equipment.
  • Maintain a working inventory of company ground assemblies to support field operations during testing in various locations and in multiple states.
  • Ensure all company vehicles, equipment, and tools are in good working condition.
  • Perform other related duties as required to complete the job.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform rigorous physical labor.
  • Ability to climb up and down on trucks safely.
  • Understanding of heavy equipment operation.
  • Understanding of proper hand tool use and maintenance.
  • Ability to receive and follow directions.
  • Basic knowledge of materials used in fleet transportation.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time in various locations, when required.
  • Commercial driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
  • Willingness to work overtime when requested.

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle to feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to perform rigorous physical labor; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
  • Frequently lift or move up to or in-excess of 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, team-members may frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Team-members are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.

The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing outside work the team-member is subject to diverse weather conditions.
