We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Children's Hospital & Medical Center. As a PICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to critically ill children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to therapy.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or compact state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- PALS certification within 180 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 9 months of hire (for Cath Lab only).
- ENPC certification within 1 year of hire (for ED only).
- TNCC certification within 1 year of hire (for ED only).
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with pediatric experience preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Previous experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records systems.
- Certification in a pediatric nursing specialty, such as CPN.
