We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist I to join our team at Sonora Quest. This role is responsible for applying technical knowledge and skills to perform complex laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional support to our department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and analysis, applying technical knowledge and skills to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Assist with department compliance with laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements, including CLIA '88, JCAHO, and CAP.
- Collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless laboratory operations and provide support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or related field.
- MLS or categorical certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy and processing, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures.
- MLS/MT or categorical certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
- Additional related education and/or experience in laboratory settings.
