We are seeking a highly skilled School Social Worker to join our team at Acero Schools. The successful candidate will provide strategic support to students, families, and teachers to promote academic success and social-emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and address academic problems through analysis of factors influencing student adjustment, including home, school, and community factors.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community agencies to develop and implement interventions to promote student learning.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students with IEPs or 504 plans.
- Participate in IEP, MTSS, and other school-based teams to develop interventions for promoting students' academic success.
- Develop programs to address parent and/or guardian participation in the school and student engagement in the educational process.
- Master's degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Experience working with children who have been educationally underserved.
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker endorsement through the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or equivalent.
The School Social Worker will work in a general school environment, with occasional extended hours and non-traditional hours required to perform job duties.
