Responsibilities- Provide Prescribed Medical Treatment and Personal Care Services
- Document Observations, Assessments, and Changes in Patient's Condition
- Collaborate with Health Team Members to Facilitate Positive Patient Care Outcomes
- Provide a Full Range of Nursing Care to Patients with Various Physical and Behavioral Problems
- Assess and Care for Patients with a Wide Range of Physical and Psychological Diagnoses
- Care for Patients Undergoing Operative/Invasive Procedures
- Care for Patients Requiring Special Precautions such as Isolation
- Insert and Maintain Peripheral Lines
- Maintain Central Lines for Administration of Intravenous Fluid
- Complete and Accurate Documentation of Care, on Time, According to Facility/Unit Policies
- Phlebotomy and Bedside Testing
- On-Call Status may be Required at the Discretion of the Nurse Manager
- Insertion and Troubleshooting of Urinary Catheters
- Initiates Patient Education, as Prescribed by the Physician during Discharge
- Display and Promote Professionalism and Excellent Customer Service during Interactions with Patients and their Families/Caregivers
- Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting
- Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred
- Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States)
- Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN)
- The salary for this position is $47.71 / hr
