We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Akumin Operating Corp. This role requires a high level of technical competence, exceptional communication skills, and a caring attitude to ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists to ensure accurate imaging results.
  • Train new technologists and/or PC's to maintain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Trouble-shoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
  • State license, as required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to work at several locations with strong customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit.
  • The employee will be exposed to radioactive isotopes and ionizing radiation.
