We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at All Medical Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing tissue samples, performing gross descriptions, and maintaining accurate records.

• Embeds, cuts, and stains tissue samples in the Immunohistochemistry laboratory.
• Performs accurate gross descriptions on tissue samples.
• Conducts quality control procedures and maintains accurate records.
• Operates laboratory instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
• Meets turnaround time and productivity standards for the section.
• Recognizes testing errors and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Records, transcribes, and maintains patient test results according to protocol.
• Assists in identifying and analyzing inconsistent and abnormal results.
• Reviews accuracy and completeness of results prior to releasing in the Laboratory Information System.

• Associate degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science.
• Formal training in Histology from an accredited program (720 hours).
• State licensure, where applicable (CA, FL, NY require licensing).
• Meets CLIA personnel standard criteria.
• Experience with IHC, specialty staining.
• Skills in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and routine special staining techniques.
