We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Surgery Partners. Key Responsibilities- Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
- Position patients to ensure accurate and safe imaging, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and radiologic techniques.
- Operate and maintain modern radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, explaining procedures and removing articles that may interfere with imaging.
- Develop and process x-ray films, producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Assist in fluoroscopic work, monitoring patients and maintaining equipment and quarters.
- Surround exposed areas with radiation protection devices, limiting unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Measure and set controls on machines to produce radiographs of appropriate density, detail, and contrast.
- Keep records and files, making reports as needed and performing other related duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the State of Illinois.
- Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
- Knowledge of email systems, Microsoft Outlook, and basic computer skills.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, remaining calm under pressure and multitasking while maintaining attention to detail. The normal working environment is a busy office setting with occasional evening and/or weekend work.
