Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, positioning patients, and operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Position patients to ensure accurate and safe imaging, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and radiologic techniques.
  • Operate and maintain modern radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, explaining procedures and removing articles that may interfere with imaging.
  • Develop and process x-ray films, producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work, monitoring patients and maintaining equipment and quarters.
  • Surround exposed areas with radiation protection devices, limiting unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Measure and set controls on machines to produce radiographs of appropriate density, detail, and contrast.
  • Keep records and files, making reports as needed and performing other related duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the State of Illinois.
  • Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
  • Knowledge of email systems, Microsoft Outlook, and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, remaining calm under pressure and multitasking while maintaining attention to detail. The normal working environment is a busy office setting with occasional evening and/or weekend work.
