Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for identifying and managing psychiatric problems for patients within your scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, including recording psychiatric history, developing therapeutic care plans, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting test results.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatric care through ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with specialization in psychiatric care.
  • State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) and prescriptive authority within 60 days of hire.
  • Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification obtained within 2 years.
  • CPR certification and Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience working with psychiatric patients and their families.
