Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer DevOps to join our team at Northrop Grumman. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability for the C2BMC program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
  • Propose system administration process improvement to reduce maintenance requirements.
  • Determine system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system configuration maintenance.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Requirements:

  • 5 years with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation.
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
  • Must be responsible for working independently and as an SME on large projects.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
  • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Nexus.
  • Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware. Understanding of HP server configuration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology.
