Spacecraft Geometry Specialist

Job Summary: As a Dimensional Engineer at Futran Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for defining and maintaining aesthetic gap and flush target requirements, analyzing and defining BiW, Exterior and Interior datum targets, and performing tolerance calculations using 3DCS and VIS-VSA software. You will also attend project meetings, understand necessary inputs, and resolve queries. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and experience with GD&T callouts, measurement points, and tolerance calculation models.

About the Job: Our company is seeking an experienced Dimensional Engineer to join our team in Marysville, OH. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and maintain dimensional specifications for various components. You will analyze data, create models, and perform simulations to ensure accurate tolerancing and measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain aesthetic gap and flush target requirements
• Analyze, define and maintain BiW, Exterior and Interior datum targets, as per 3-2-1 principle (reference system)
• Perform tolerance calculation for BiW, Exterior and Interior - Build Tolerance simulation/analysis models in 3DCS and VIS-VSA software environment
• Find solutions to deviations from tolerance calculations
• Attend project regular meetings, understand and gather necessary inputs, resolve queries
• Perform functional tolerance calculations apart from Gap and Flush area
• Create deliverables such as Pre Tolerancing document, Gap Flush document, Measurement Points document, and Tolerance calculation model using 3DCS software

Deliverables:

• Pre Tolerancing document, which captures datum targets and GD&T callouts of the component
• Gap Flush document, which captures nominal values with tolerances of gap and flush requirements for different interfaces
• Measurement Points document, which captures feature points on components for which measurement will be done and reported
• Tolerance calculation model, created using 3DCS software

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Dimensional Engineering or related field
• Experience with GD&T callouts, measurement points, and tolerance calculation models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
