Ultrasound Assistant Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sonography student to join our team as an Ultrasound Assistant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing ultrasound services to patients under the supervision of our experienced technologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist supervising technologists and physicians in various ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations.
  • Perform quality control procedures and maintain a clean and safe department environment.
  • Record images and provide clinical impressions as indicated.
  • Notify staff members of supply needs, equipment malfunctions, and necessary maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a Sonography program.
  • No prior experience required.
