Heavy Equipment Operator

This role entails the operation of machinery and tools across various client job sites, aimed at delivering industrial and environmental cleaning services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrive punctually at the designated location, dressed in uniform, well-groomed, mentally prepared, and physically fit for work.
  • Drive TransForce vehicles (car or van) as required.
  • Prepare the job site by setting up necessary equipment, including water blast hoses or vacuum hoses.
  • Utilize tools such as water blast guns, water lances, dry vacuum hoses (6" and 8"), wet vacuum hoses (6" and 8"), shovels, and picks.
  • Strictly follow TransForce Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Clean equipment thoroughly before returning it to the TransForce facility.
  • Exhibit initiative in carrying out assigned tasks effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the immediate supervisor.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to manage a consistent workload that involves significant physical labor.
  • Capability to maintain alertness and focus, unaffected by any medication, diet, or physical condition.
  • Proficiency in bending, stooping, squatting, sitting, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Willingness to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
  • Flexibility to handle workloads that may require travel to various locations for extended periods, with daily hours potentially exceeding the standard 8-hour shift.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma with a focus on industrial or vocational training preferred.
  • Some High School Education is acceptable.
  • Valid Driver's License with CDL - Class A, and compliance with current limits for TransForce Driver Points.
  • Specific experience in an equipment or maintenance environment.
  • Experience in performing manual labor outdoors.
  • 2-3 years of practical experience with tools or heavy machinery.
