Key Responsibilities:
  • Embrace and promote the principles of Catholic education and the mission of the institution.
  • Maintain discretion regarding all school-related matters.
  • Exemplify professionalism and sportsmanship, instilling these values in team members.
  • Coordinate practice and game schedules in collaboration with the Athletic Director and fellow coaches.
  • Oversee the physical well-being of participants, reporting any injuries to guardians and school authorities.
  • Continuously supervise all activities during practices and games to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Instruct student athletes on essential safety protocols and strategies, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
  • Follow institutional and diocesan safety policies diligently.
  • Communicate effectively with the Athletic Director and coaching staff regarding logistical needs.
  • Ensure that emergency contact information is readily available during all events.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in behavior, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the school, students, and staff.
Essential Duties:
  • Provide instruction on game strategies, skills, and regulations.
  • Encourage student athletes to achieve their best both individually and as part of a team.
  • Implement positive discipline strategies when addressing student behavior.
  • Possess expertise in the fundamentals of football.
  • Demonstrate skill in engaging and motivating student athletes.
  • Be prepared to handle athletic equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in all situations.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification and First Aid training are required.

Experience:

  • Prior coaching experience is mandatory.
