Overview

Dignity Health Medical Group - North State is seeking a Hospitalist Neurologist. Candidates with a fellowship in vascular neurology and those with an interest in stroke management are encouraged to consider this opportunity. Preference will be given to applicants with EEG/EMG experience. This position follows a traditional employment model that includes a guaranteed salary, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Compensation Range: $300,000 - $330,000 / Year

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Evaluate and manage a variety of medical conditions.
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Conduct detailed medical assessments and histories.

Communication:

  • Engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Deliver clear and precise medical information.
  • Promote a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare environment.

Documentation:

  • Ensure accurate and current patient documentation.
  • Record medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment strategies.
  • Comply with coding and billing standards.

Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
  • Perform necessary medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic assessments.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative support to other healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyze clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
  • Implement strategies to improve patient care and safety.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance mandates.
  • Engage in quality audits to ensure adherence to established standards.

Continuous Learning:

  • Keep informed about medical advancements and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
  • Board eligible or board certified in the relevant medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
  • Completion of an accredited residency training program
  • Open to H1B Visa candidates
Pay Range
$158.65 /hour
