At Orbia, we're committed to advancing life around the world. As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing process.

As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining all drive panels, drives, enclosures, motors, PLCs, control devices, and other electrical systems within the plant.

With a focus on quality, sustainability, and safety, you'll work closely with our team to troubleshoot and diagnose system breakdowns, making recommendations for repairs and improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Directing and training other workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose system breakdowns
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing system breakdowns, making recommendations for repairs and improvements
  • Timely response to electrical troubleshooting and managing decisions regarding electrical delay events
  • Reading and interpreting industrial electrical schematics and instruction manuals
  • Installing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial instrumentation and related devices when needed
  • Assisting with equipment rebuild, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations

Requirements include:

  • 1 year of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; bilingual a plus
  • Knowledge of 120/240 single-phase and 480V three-phase electrical
  • Background in PLC and PLC logic
  • Working knowledge and ability to use most hand and power tools and other tools needed for this position
